FEA analysis of y-carriage

FEA analysis was performed using the FreeCAD FEM workbench. If interested, it is possible to use the following youtube tutorial to learn how to perform FEA analysis using FreeCAD.

It was important to model the y-carriage as it was a point of failure in V1. The main issue encountered was heat from the motor reducing the mechanical strength of the PLA combined with a thin motor mount wall. With V2 the motor mount wall was thickened and FEA was performed to confirm that the new design will be sufficient. The results of the FEA simulatino are below.
